The Jordaan is also within walking distance with its Nine (shopping) Streets and the Jordanese brown pubs. You do not have to look far for a theatre show. The famous De La Mar theatre is only at a 10-minute walking distance, as well as the Leidseplein. Around the corner you will also find various public transport options (Bilderdijkstraat/ Kinkerstraat); by tram you can travel easily to Amsterdam Central Station and -Sloterdijk in just 20 minutes.
